Salt and Straw- Gourmet Ice Cream
Location: Larchmont Village
This is an ice cream shop that originated in Portland. It has unique flavors, that when you read some of them, you think, how can this possible taste good as an ice cream(ie. Black Olive Brittle and Goat Cheese). Well, oh boy, it just can!
I actually tried the dairy and gluten free ice cream since I'm a bit lactose intolerant. The flavor was Coconut Marionberry and Pecan Shortbread. It was a little rich and creamy, made from coconut milk, Marionberry Jam, and pecan shortbread. But definitely very tasty. This is a place I would recommend anyone check out if they are in the area. Yummy.
