Highland Park has turned into a trendy little area.  At least the two blocks on York street are.  A nice kid's playground.  Cute little stores and cafes to visit.  We decided to check out the Highland Cafe.  There was both indoor and outdoor seating.  The decor was cute.  Different types of tables and seats to choose from.  More of a coffee shop vibe than a cafe.  And unfortunately, since we were there during lunch time, (and mind you this was a Wednesday), the only seating available was on the couch, great for a coffee shop, bad for a food place, when you have a kid.  She's like let's tear all the books!

Here's the low down the the food.  I got the Chipotle Fish Tacos.  Good size portion.  And tasty.  A great choice as far as I was concerned.  Andy got the Bacon Avocado Burger.  He said it was good as burgers go.  He got the side salad to go with it.  Not sure why he did that.  He said he felt like he needed to eat vegetables.  The side salad was simple, lettuce and carrots.  The food at this place is good.  No complaints.  Just the limited seating.  If you are okay with that or with joining up with other people, then check this place out.  They serve breakfast and lunch all day.
