May showers

The one part of our businesses that has made alot of progress in the last two months has been the garden!  With the help of some teen volunteers, we've been able to place all of the bricks, get dirt in most of the plots we made (we'll finish next meet up), and plant so many tomato plants!  I should have been paying better attention to what I had these kids plant, but I was busy trying to direct everything, so that leaves us with lots and lots of tomatoes!

April was filled with lots of set backs.  Our greenhouse fell down during a storm.  Our garage was broken into and Andy's tools and lawn equipment were stolen.  We'll hopefully get everything back up and where it was within the next few months.  I'm excited to see the plants as they grow, and see what becomes of the garden while we have these volunteers.

We had explored the idea of getting a 4 plex.  We can't get a mortgage because of inconsistent income, but we thought we could get a small business loan to help us pay a down and then get a business LTV loan for the apartment, but we weren't able to get the small business loan.  We thought about exploring more options but then life happened and we decided to shelf the idea for now.  A
Andy has been working with Airbnb to try to get it so that we can extended our permit.  For now, we can't but he's talked to city council members and did a piece for the local news. He's trying though it may be futile.

The world here is covered with thunder and rain, so those of you in the area, stay safe.
